If you can't read, please don't volunteer to.
Who can't pronounce purpose!?
Sincerely,
Disgruntled and annoyed classmate who is giving you dirty looks.
About as annoyed at the Huracan looks.

Maybe they were volunteering and screwing up on porpoise.
I'll show myself out.

No, because they're one of those people that...
R-e-a-d...l-i-k-e...t-h-i-s...
You know, like a third grader.

Can't fathom how they can still read like a third grader and not have a speaking disability.

There are also people who can't pronounce the word "chassis" correctly.
Some of these people are even newsreaders on the radio.

Ch-ass-see
At least that's how I pronounce it.

At least according to the dictionary.
It doesn't stop people from saying "Chass-is".

T-t-t-today junior!
But seriously, I'm a competent human being. I'm paid to write. I like to think I have a good grip on the English language. However, when I'm reading something out loud, I've been known to butcher simple words. Sometimes I get all mush mouthed. I have a face for radio and a voice for print.

I'm guilty of slurring words here and there sometimes, but not every single word in a sentence. I've seen people have trouble saying they're.

Same here. When this happens I just facepalm. Althouh, in 9th people seem to be better. Although I am taking mostly 11-12th grade courses.

It's okay, I work with grown ass men who think the word electronics is pronounced "electrics". Even after I repeatedly, and purposefully, pronounce the word slowly, making sure to fully enunciate the whole word "E-lec-tron-ICS".

Had some awkward moments when I started teaching. You hand out a text and ask for someone to read it out loud. You pick a 17 y/o bull who looks like a bouncer, and he starts r-e-a-d-i-n-g ..... l-i-k-e...... t-h-i-s. All you think is "Sorry dude, had I known, I would have spared you the embarrassment."

I'm a junior that has to deal with these people. I'd understand 9th grade kinda (not really)

That's understandable, but when they volunteer, that's totally different.
